During the past 35 years, Steve Wakefield has brought his academic degrees and expertise in Architecture and Real Estate Economics to the Houston real estate community. Initially, he was Senior Vice President of Ragsdale Development Corporation where he was engaged in the development, marketing and management of small and mid-rise office and industrial projects.
In 1991 he formed The Wakefield Company, a Houston based project/program management firm where he directs construction, renovation and maintenance projects in commercial real estate. Some 250 past projects have ranged from $15,000 to $1.8 billion in value. Clients have included ConocoPhillips, Tenaris, Wells Fargo, Baylor College of Medicine, JLL, Cisco Systems, and Global Healthcare Alliance.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Mr. Wakefield earned an undergraduate degree in Architecture and a graduate degree in Real Estate Economics at Texas A&M University. His affiliations include the Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals, The Society of Texas A&M Real Estate Professionals and the Board of Trustees of the First United Methodist Church Foundation. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas.
